About

District of Columbia youth are facing tough times on multiple socio-economic fronts and have fallen behind when compared nationally.

We harness the collective voice of over 100 youth serving organizations, to combat these issues. Despite the decrease of youth funding, we have many organizations who are rallying for increased support in various areas that affect the lives of our young people.

The Challenge

  • 27.5% of youth in the District live below the poverty line.
  • 39.7% of youth have not completed high school.
  • 41% of our youth are unemployed, compared to 10.4% nationally.

Taking Action

Our member organizations provide support and services to tens of thousands of youth, in all 8 wards. Become one of our member organizations to join the front lines of youth advocacy in the District.

Who We Are

Our staff powers our mission and vision in some pretty amazing ways. We wouldn’t accomplish anything without their energy, dedication, talent and belief in our young people.
