We hope you will help us celebrate the accomplishments of fearless Executive Director, Maggie Riden before she begins her next adventure. In her 7 years as our fearless leader, Maggie has:

  • Informed and influenced over $878 million in public funding
  • Spearheaded the 2011 Youth Homelessness report that was the first of its kind in DC, and identified the specific needs of homeless youth in the city and ensuring that 5,000 youth expereincnig homelessness get services now each year
  • Brought together 500+ youth advocates to kick off the District’s youth advocacy campaigns at two Annual Summits
  • Helped stabilize the out-of-school-time sector after the dissolution of the Trust, and coordinating cross-sector efforts to establish the Commission on Out of School Time Grants and Youth Outcomes
  • and so much more

Please join us for as we reflect on these accomplishments that positively impacted tens of thousands of DC youth and have made DCAYA an organization that councilmembers, citizens, and local journalist have come to rely on and seek guidance from.

As the President & CEO of DCAYA, Ms. Riden focuses on directing the DCAYA coalition of over 130 youth-serving organizations to improve the quality of life for young people in the District of Columbia through policy advocacy, networking, and youth empowerment.
